A good rule of thumb is to wait 4-6 hours before tasting any infused water.   Making sure enough of the nutrients and flavors are infused to give the desired flavor.  Although we suggest waiting overnight (12+ Hours), some recipes don’t always need this much time.

Here are a few tips and tricks :

  1. Anything longer than 24 hours and you can risk the contents dissociating, so try to remove the infused contents if you plan on storing your infused water longer than 24 hours.
  2. Find your recipe too bitter?  Try removing any fruit rinds after the first 4- 6 hours.  This will decrease the amount of nutrients infused by the rind, but will also give you a more enjoyable drink.
  3. Avoid letting contents clump together at the bottom of your Infuser.   This will lead to a less infusion = a less flavorful beverage.
  4. Lastly it is completely fine to experiment with how long you infused your recipes.
